Final payment including any shipping charges (not to include airfare) are due to Powerful Danes on or before ___________________________ or seller has the right to sell the puppy to another purchaser and all payments received are forfeited.
SHIPPING INFORMATION:

____ Shipping; Puppy to be shipped to ______ airport for an additional charge of $100 which covers crate, health certificate and acclimation statement. Airfare to be paid COD directly to the airline by purchaser at the time of pick up. Shipping date dependent upon receipt of full payment and flight availability.
SHORT TERM HEALTH GUARANTEE: __________________________________, Purchaser, has 72 hours from receipt of puppy to have said puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian for health issues and to invoke the two year health guarantee. Without this check up, the long term health guarantee is void. If it is determined at the 72 hours checkup that said puppy has a life threatening illness, a representative of Breeder has the right to phone, or otherwise contact said veterinarian to have the diagnosis confirmed and get copies of relevant blood work, tests and X-rays proving said diagnosis. Breeder also reserves the right to require a second opinion from a licensed veterinarian, of breeder’s choice, at owner’s expense. If a life threatening health problem is diagnosed, Breeder, agrees to regain ownership of said puppy for a full refund of the cost of the puppy (only) or pay for veterinarian services provided to the dog for its treatment up to the cost of the puppy (only). Should the puppy/dog die, a necropsy will be required, at owner’s expense, to substantiate the cause of death. The Breeder will determine whether to refund the cost of the dog or pay for medical expenses. Breeder is not responsible for any illness not covered in the long term health guarantee or illnesses post the 72 hours veterinarian evaluation.
LONG TERM HEALTH GUARANTEE: Breeder owner Stephanie Powers is covered by a replacement contract, if the dog should be diagnosed with any of the following genetic defects; * Hip Dysphasia, **Congestive Heart Failure and *** Autoimmune Thyroiditis. If any of these conditions are diagnosed a representative of Breeder has the right to phone, or otherwise contact said veterinarian/specialist to have the diagnosis confirmed and obtain copies of relevant X-rays, Cardiograms and blood work proving said diagnosis. Breeder also reserves the right to require a second opinion from a licensed veterinarian, of breeder’s choice, at owner’s expense. Should the puppy/dog die, a necropsy will be required, at owner’s expense, to substantiate the cause of death. Any problems as a result of inappropriate diet, improper medical care, accident or injury will NOT be covered in this guarantee.
The following conditions are covered:
- Hip Dysphasia resulting in an OFA grade of severe/crippling. To substantiate hip dysphasia, OFA certification must be performed between 24 and 26 months of age. Breeder will honor receipt of test results up to 28 months of age accompanied by proof of x-ray and submission to OFA between the ages of 24 to 26 months.
** Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) up to the age of 24 months (heart failure as a result of heartworms is not covered)
Birth (congenital) defects of the heart
Degeneration of the heart valves due to congenital disease
Congenital Heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy)
*** Autoimmune Thyroiditis up to the age of 24 months – Testing to substantiate Autoimmune Thyroiditis is to be performed by a licensed veterinarian post the onset of puberty. For male that is after 14 months of age and females is during the first anestrus period following their maiden heat. Anestrus is a time when the female sexual cycle is quiescent, thereby removing any influence of sex hormones on baseline thyroid function. This period generally begins 12 weeks from the onset of the previous heat and lasts one month or longer.
If any of the above listed covered health issues are substantiated within the timeframes stated, Breeder agrees to either of the following conditions (owners choice):
- Replace him/her with another dog/puppy of equal value from the first available litter and if dog/puppy is not deceased we will take possession of the dog. We will not reimburse any medical costs for said dog while in the care of the owner. There will be no refund in lieu of a replacement puppy.
- Owner(s) to keep the above named dog and you must spay/neuter said dog and present proof of said dog having spay/neuter procedure completed. Once completed, we will replace the puppy with another puppy of equal value from the first available litter. We will not reimburse any medical costs for said dog while in the care of the owner. There will be no refund in lieu of a replacement puppy.
_____FULL/CO-OWNERSHIP AKC REGISTRATION : AKC puppy registration number _____________________________. Puppies being sold with full or co-owenership AKC registration will have AKC papers transferred at time of pick up or sent via certified mail the same to as puppy is shipped (if shipping is required). If registration is not available at time of sale, AKC registration for said puppy must be delivered to purchaser by the puppies 6 month of age or breeder agrees to do one of the following at the choice of the purchaser:
- Puppy may be returned to breeder for refund of the cost of the puppy only.
- Puppy may be kept by purchaser and breeder will refund ¾ of the cost of the puppy only. Puppy must be spayed/neutered and proof given to the breeder before the refund can occur.
_____LIMITED AKC REGISTRATION (NO breeding or show rights Chapter 3, Section 4A of the AKC's Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline): AKC puppy registration number ___________________________________________. Puppies being sold with limited AKC registration are obligated to have puppy spayed/neutered by 8 months of age. If proof of spay/neuter by 8 months of age is not received by the breeder by 10 months of age, the breeder has the right to one of the following penalties (decision of option to exercise is that of the breeder):
- Regain ownership of dog with no refund. Breeder responsible for any applicable shipping charges to regain ownership.
- Purchaser to pay penalty of $_______. No AKC registration full/limited/co-ownership will be granted under these circumstances.
RELINQUISHING OWNERSHIP OF DOG: Should purchaser decide to relinquish ownership of said puppy, he/she is to contact breeder to discuss the following options (decision of option to exercise is that of the breeder):
- Breeder regains ownership of dog with no refund. Breeder responsible for any applicable shipping charges to regain ownership.
- Breeder to be aware of the sell of said dog to a new home. New owner contact information must be provided to breeder.
OTHER TERMS and CONDITIONS: (a) any expenses incurred by the Breeder associated with contract dispute, regaining ownership of said dog or collection of penalties, including legal expenses, are the responsibility of the purchaser. (b) any litigation is to be processed in the county/state of the seller. (c) contract void if breeder does not receive a signed copy within 3 weeks of shipping. AKC papers will be mailed as soon as puppy is shipped and bill of sale/health guarantee is received by seller.
